In Terry’s absence, I wanted to share a story from the Chicago Tribune, which spoke with the American Airlines flight attendant who helped land a jumbo jet at O’Hare International Airport earlier this week after the flight’s first officer fell ill with stomach flu.
The plane, a Boeing 767 with 225 passengers and seven crew members on board, arrived at O’Hare at 4:24 p.m. Monday. The landing was normal, officials said.
The attendant, Patti DeLuna, has a pilot’s license but hadn’t piloted a plane in about 20 years. What a time to start again.
