American Airlines filed a motion Thursday afternoon asking that U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane limit debate on throwing out the pilots’ contract to the two items that Lane singled out in an Aug. 15 decision.

The judge in that decision had largely supported American’s arguments on why it should be able to reject its existing contract with the Allied Pilots Association. But he found fault with American’s proposals for extensive furloughs and unlimited domestic codesharing.
